Aristotle

Ancient Greek philosopher and scientist · 384–322 BCE

Aristotle developed influential approaches to logic, ethics, politics, biology, rhetoric and literary theory. A student of Plato and later tutor to Alexander the Great, he treated knowledge as a systematic investigation of causes, purposes and the conditions of a flourishing human life.
